Job Description:
Xerox'sproducts are extremely diverse and as such, possess a wide range of product lifecycle, manufacturing, distribution and order-to-shipment characteristics. Most manufacturing and distribution is outsourced globally and in some cases, parts of the supply chain may be virtual, with a Xerox representative never touching a Xerox component. The company continues to look for innovative methods of configuring and operating its supply chain in an effort to provide superior customer service and reduce order-to-deliver cycle times while reducing working capital and delivery costs. The Strategy group within Xerox Strategic Services Group plays a key role in the continued development of leading-edge supply chain strategies globally.
Position Summary:
Reporting to the Vice President of Strategy, Xerox Strategic Services Group, the Manager, Strategy Planning and Integration will be responsible for evolving strategies and business processes, and helping integrate them into the operations in order to drastically increase the competitiveness of Xerox in the industry.
Given the complexity of the Xerox business model, this will include all supply chain processes serving both a direct and indirect distribution model, as well as customer facing delivery processes and reverse logistics. It is expected that this person will also address sales and product processes across the value chain, while considering the financial implications of proposed strategies. This individual will be supporting change initiatives across all areas of the supply chain that will dramatically improve supply chain performance and costs.
This individual will be part of a team that supports the supply chain operational units and is responsible for functional and global business processes, process mapping and process and performance benchmarking.
Responsibilities:
The ideal candidate will have a strong process improvement orientation, having worked for or consulted to a large corporation with a heavy distribution component. Management or deep process knowledge in at least three of the following supply chain functions:
Supply Chain Planning
Procurement
Manufacturing
Order Fulfillment
Transportation
Warehousing
Network Optimization and Design
Supply Chain cost management
While specific experience serving the technology industry would be ideal, it is more important for this individual to have first hand experience working with a global enterprise with a world class reputation for outstanding supply chain systems and business processes, designs and concepts.
Requirements:
Self motivated - Ability to “self start” and work independently.
Ability to excite and influence others, both within and beyond the supply chain organizational groups.
Organizational skills – able to prioritize activities and initiatives between several competing customers.
Project Management – experience in managing resources, timeline and delivery using established project management tools and techniques.
Analytical capabilities and possibly Lean Six Sigma certification.
