Job Description:

Xerox has a position ofPlatform Developerwith XGS (Xerox Global Services) GTOD(Global Technology &Offering Development)group. GTOD position at Xerox is coordinate activities across the XGS value chain to define roadmaps for all XGS Core Platforms (XOS, BPS, DOCS, and Services Delivery Infrastructure) and offerings, creating a shared view of how to connect market needs with technologies and services methodologies to create differentiated offerings and also align GTOD Emerging Technologies to respond to customer needs and differentiate our platforms from the competition through Xerox Intellectual Property.


Position Summary:

Developers are responsible for being the subject matter experts and key contributors to designing, coding, testing, deploying, debugging and documenting software applications.


Responsibilities:

Participate in technical evaluations as a member of a project team.

Work alongside software Testers to maximize efficiency and quality and eliminate errors.

Provide training, documented processes regarding all software technology implemented or forecasted.

Work alongside development staff to help understand, educate and design robust solutions for our business needs.Understand and apply new software and hardware technologies as necessary.

Demonstrated ability to work within an established timeframe to complete projects.
Skills:

Solid communication skills, written & verbal.

Effective communication with peers and ability to multitask and work in a team environment with a “can-do” attitude.

Familiarity with database applications (MS SQL Server, Oracle, MS Access)

Knowledge of UNIX and Windows operating systems.

Familiarity with full life cycle development of application methodologies using the following: C#, .NET Framework, MFC (Microsoft Foundation Classes), C, and C++, VC6, VS.Net 7.0, VSS & third party components. Fluency in SQL and a solid comprehension of relational database concepts Work Flow Management and Document Imaging solution skills.

Knowledge of Web based technologies (HTML, ASP, and XML).

Ability to debug and troubleshoot technology problems rapidly and work with third party software.

Ability to write & execute test scripts

Expert knowledge of networking Microsoft Operating Systems




Requirements:
Minimum: Ability to demonstrate knowledge and usage of .NET technologies and tools. Be able to provide example of previous work for evaluation.
Preferred: One year of imaging conversion experience. One year software developer experience.

BA/BS or MS Degree in CS, Information Management/Technology, equivalent or higher
