Job Description:

Responsible for developing the solutions for and solving problems regarding new and existing printing systems and marking technologies and devices for Xerox's production color products. Devise inventive solutions and bring the technology to a product-ready state. Utilize skills and knowledge in image science, color science, imaging and marking devices, halftoning, psychophysics and human visual perception to develop technology in the multi-disciplinary XRCW environment. Produce research results in the form of external technical journals and patents.



Requirements:

Minimum education required: ­­­­­­­­­­Doctoral (Ph.D.) degree or the equivalent in Electrical Engineering or a related field. Employer will accept a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field in addition to the completion and defense of a thesis towards a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering as meeting the degree requirement.
Minimum experience required: 0years of experience.
Skills required: Must have theoretical and practical knowledge of methods and principles of engineering sciences and technology such as image and color science, electronic imaging devices (digital image rendering and digital image capture devices), halftoning, psychophysics and human visual perception; extensive experience in programming languages (Matlab and C) and operating systems (Linux, Windows, UNIX); experience producing research results in the form of external journals and patents. Skills may have been gained through professional experience or post-graduate coursework.
