Position Summary:
The EA Utility Specialist position supports the new EA Toner facility located in Webster, NY. The EA Utility Specialist positions have been designed to eliminate traditional, jurisdictional restrictions. (Salary Range: $12.64 to $13.54)
All employees, upon assignment to the EATonerPlant, will be subject to a twelve (12) month Probationary Period, during which time they can be released from the EA Seniority Unit, at the discretion of Management, with full disclosure to the Union.
All bargaining unit employees, who are assigned to the EA Seniority Unit, shall be ineligible for any future promotions or transfers outside of the EA Seniority Unit for a period of sixty (60) months from the date of their assignment to the EA Seniority Unit.
Shift Mode: Will be developed and implemented as needed to include but not limited to 4x7 shift, 10-hour shift, and 12-hour shift etc to accommodate a full twenty-four (24) hours per day, seven (7) days per week, production schedule. (Initially employees may be scheduled to work on day shift for training purposes)
Principle Job Functions, Expectations, and
Responsibilities:
Work closely with all other employees in a teamwork environment
Performcleaning duties for all laboratories, offices, and process areas
Reads and interprets shipping orders, purchase orders, receiving orders, stores receipts, transfer tickets, bills of lading and all other appropriate documentation
Locates and delivers appropriate raw, WIP and packaging materials to and from work stations in support of production operations
Weighs materials where necessary, completes tags and other documentation where required - maintains material log and control records as required
Inspects incoming materials, and supplier shipments, verifying quantities and identity against reference documentation
Operates mobile equipment (powered lift trucks, hand trucks, walking-stackers, etc.)
Performs rack to records audits and verifications, making necessary corrections
Provide and communicate data, and information pertaining to operations, plant management and staff - to include participation in daily “sunrise” meetings
Attend and participate in team meetings, on-floor and problem solving discussions
Requirements:
Qualified in the operation of motorized walking-stackers and fork lift vehicles preferred
Prior warehouse and forklift/tow motor experience preferred
Able to balance priorities and manage multiple assignments
Capable of performing arithmetic calculations and proficient with weight scales
Able to work at heights and in confined/enclosed spaces
Demonstrated computer literacy - knowledgeable/competent in MS applications
Proven ability to work in a people-oriented team environment
Interpersonal competence and empathy - accepts and solicits performance feedback constructively
Able to take direction
Demonstrated initiative and able to perform in an unstructured environment
Flexible and willing to work rotating “4x7” shifts
Demonstrated maturity and stability in a work environment
Able to work in stressful situations – meeting operation targets in a demanding manufacturing environment
