Position Summary:
EA Maintenance Specialist (Machine Repair/Pipe Fitter Multifunctional)
This position supports the new EA Toner facility located in Webster, NY. The EA Maintenance Specialist positions have been designed to eliminate traditional, jurisdictional restrictions. These positions represent a composite of the Maintenance trades, which includes Pipefitting, Machine Repair and Sheet Metal Welding.
Responsibilities:
EA Maintenance Specialist employees will be expected to perform tasks in other functions, which they are capable of performing.
EA Maintenance Specialist employees will be expected to support the process “as needed” as determined by W216 Plant Management, Batch Leaders, and Engineering
There will be no jurisdictional restrictions between classifications / functions in the EA Toner Plant or between process specialists, engineers, maintenance specialists, electrical specialists and batch leaders
Flexible and willing to work rotating shifts
Learn any potential new Engineering processes/systems and equipment quickly
Perform Plant Housekeeping
Requirements:
Applicants must meet the following minimum qualifications to be considered for this position:
Posses a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
Four years of State Certified Apprenticeship and four years of Industrial certified experience
OR
Eight years of Industrial certified experience
OR
Two year Technologist Degree (AS/AAS) and six years of Industrial certified experience
Must have Journeyman status in either Pipefitting or Machine Repair and also possess the requisite aptitude in the composite of trades referenced above.
Will have knowledge and experience with chemical, mechanical and physical processes and the ability to trouble-shoot process and equipment issues
Must be able to interpret Process Flow Diagrams and Process System P&IDs (Piping and Instrumentation Drawings)
Must be able to use protective equipment, including safety shoes, hard hat, safety glasses, respiratory protection, hearing protection
Must be able to work at heights and in confined/enclosed spaces
Demonstrate understanding of process control principles and their application to building environment and plant services
Demonstrate ability to identify and repair both mechanical and electrical equipment defects
Computer literacy - knowledgeable/competent in MS applications (Word, Outlook, Access, Excel)
Proven ability to relate well in a people-oriented and Team environment
Demonstrated maturity and stability in a work environment
Able to take direction, work in stressful situations
Initiative, and able to function in an unstructured environment
Open to change and continuous learning/improvement
