Job Description:

POSITION CONCEPT
The Xerox technical sales Analyst provides technical and analytical expertise in the sale, implementation, and post-implementation support for DocuColor iGen3 customer engagements. He/she is responsible for working with the iGen3 sales specialists to define, document, and redesign colour workflow processes; develop applications to enhance customer profitability and productivity; facilitate operator self-sufficiency. The Analyst collaborates on development and execution of account strategies, manages system implementation, and contributes directly to customer satisfaction and loyalty objectives through customer relationship building activities.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
ê Provide technical and analytical focused sales support:
- Understand key applications and document processes in assigned accounts.
- Analyze and document customer requirements.
- Recommend solutions that meet the customer's business and technical requirements.
- Scope projects including an estimate of billable services pricing.
- Write and present the technical portions of sales proposals.Providetechnicalsupport for sales presentations and customized demonstrations.
- Conduct high-level sales calls.
- Participate in account reviews and in developing account strategies.
ê Plan and manage quality implementation of solutions:
- Assure the technical validity and interoperability of the solution and its direct relationship to the customer's business objectives.
- Act as project manager for the implementation team.
ê Maintainon-going customer relationships at appropriate levels to ensure customer loyalty and secure additional business. Understand customer requirements for support services; recommend and deliver billable services as appropriate.
ê Develop skills required by new technologies and markets.
ê Diagnose and resolve job, workflow, software connectivity problems requiring on-site support that exceed the capability of the Xerox remote support center.
ê Provide after-hours support as required.
ê Willingness to travel for extended periods of time. Potential requirement to support other geographic regions.


Requirements:
QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Experience
ê University degree, preferably in business or computer science, or equivalent industry experience
ê 4-6 years technical sales support and/or graphic communications industry experience
ê Strongly recommended 2 consecutive years of practical digital prepress experience (commercial / graphic arts industry)
Skills Required
ê Knowledge of color imaging processes and technologiesfor traditional offset and/or digital pre and post press workflows
ê Extensive digital prepress experience that includes scanning, digital photography, preflight, file repair and preparation, file and font management,color correction and composition, trapping, bleed, imposition, and color proofing
ê Desktop publishing experience using commercial printing industry standard software
ê Operating systems: Mac OSX, Windows XP, basic Solaris and UNIX skills knowledge
ê Color management experience utilizing color management tools and techniques for digital imaging processes and technologies
ê Offset press and/or digital production printing, paper identification and conditioning, press/printer characterization, quality assurance
ê Project management experience
ê Ability to design and modify applications for quality prints on specified output device(s)
ê Working knowledge of transaction printing.
ê Knowledge of graphic arts/commercial printing industry standards and trends, color markets, product positioning and production color competition
ê Ability to identify and support key applications, integrated solutions, analyze existing document workflow, and suggest solutions to enhance profitability and productivity
ê Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills
ê Knowledge of customer environments, scheduling, ordering materials/paper, tracking and accounting systems, cost analysis and pricing, employee selection criteria and recommendations, etc.
ê Experience with Creo, andEFIFiery Digital Front Ends is an asset.
ê Experience in aspects of variable information printing. Experience with VI tools such as: XMPie and Darwin is an asset.
