Position Summary:

The candidate will be the SQA engineer for several product subsystems and participate in test planning and execution. The engineer in this position will define, design and implement tests and tools needed to assure test efficiency and accuracy for printer and multifunction features.


Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with development teams to design, document, implement, and execute test plans, test scripts, and test procedures to validate printer features.
  • Responsible for new feature testing, reporting product defects and verify fixes and regression testing.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts and be able to balance workload and schedules across multiple projects.
  • Requires an ability to drive issues to resolution with appropriate persistence and persuasiveness.
  • Ability to work closely with all members of the project team including test technicians, software developers, marketing and customer service representatives.
  • Expected to accurately assess the completeness, consistency and robustness of software requirements, design and implementation.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, in writing and verbally, and be available to answer questions, resolve issues and review test results.
  • Exploring new test tools and technology to improve productivity and test cycle turn-around time.


    Requirements:

  • Requires a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline and a minimum of 6 years of work experience with Software QA and or software development.
  • Thorough understanding of SW life cycles and SW programming is required.
  • Knowledge and experience with embedded systems, Printers, Postscript, PCL UNIX, C and Microsoft applications are definite pluses.
