Job Description:
Perform advanced reprographic functions. Produce job proofs for customer review and approval. Read a simple job ticket and understand steps required in the workflow. Document quality is checked before, during, and after each production run of a job. Provide finishing services, e.g folding, envelope/binder insertion, stapling, stitching , shrink wrap, drilling, cutting. Operate standard bindery equipment. Clean and maintain equipment when necessary. Operate production printers and copiers - configure job-processing settings, manage job queues, process files, and print jobs. Open a simple document file for viewing. Move document file to printer queue. Diagnose and correct common image quality problems. Store document files via network or electronic media. Perform maintenance and repair of high-frequency service call areas on specified equipment. Process production forms and maintain records. Schedule and manage the document manufacturing process, e.g. job entry, requirements confirmation, capacity planning, workflow planning, quality control, packaging specifications, and delivery execution. Track and archive digital customer jobs, as required for re-use. Customer contact for equipment service and repair. Ability to load print drivers for end users. Provide customer consultation as required. Manage inventory, re-order and re-stock. Assist reporting responsibilities.


Requirements:
Able to lift and move up to 50 pounds. Able to read, write and follow basic English instructions. Listen, understand & communicate effectively. Ability to handle multiple tasks. Basic keyboarding skills. High School diploma or equivalent. Basic math skills (multiplication, division and percentages). Knowledge and use of interpersonal skill behaviors. General knowledge of reprographic operation. Post High School education or training. Knowledgeable about paper and the characteristics that affect production processes. Knowledgeable about the function, features and capabilities of digital front ends. Utilize XIP process to capture opportunities / resolve issues. Computer Skills: Basic PC operation skills, Window and web navigation; Use basic software applications-MS Word, Excel, Scanning; Extensive use of PC – web access, scan files, import/export files; Navigate in Netscape and Internet Explorer, uploading and downloading files, using internet forms; Utilize web-based tools and applications, such as On Line Support and web-based Service Call Initiative. Customer service skills. Mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills. Comprehend directive technical troubleshooting (fault codes, image quality) procedures.
