Position Summary:
The selectedSoftware Design Engineer - New College Hire, will specify, design and implement software for color printers and supporting applications in C# and/or SQL. The successful candidate will also:Develop and support Advanced Hardening Automation solutions in support of Embedded Real Time Software, QA, Mechanical Engineering, and other teams. Work with mechanical and electrical engineers to solve system-wide problems; Set schedules for sub-projects and meet them; Document customer requirements; Perform experiments to narrow down problem areas in code; Understand customer usage patterns and apply this knowledge in design and implementation decisions; design, develop, and conduct training of other engineers in the usage of supported technologies.
Requirements:
Responsibilities:
Must be within one year of graduation from a BS or MS Computer Science or Computer Engineering degree program. Requires a GPA of 3.0 or greater.
At least one complete product development cycle using C#, or C++. College projects will be considered.
Develop web applications in Microsoft .Net. Develop custom workflow applications. Write and optimize SQL queries. Assist engineers with data analysis using SQL, MS Access, and MS Excel. Assist with Server installations. Develop documentation for related applications. Develop and conduct training on in-house applications
High academic achievement and good working knowledge of Engineering principles.
Good oral and written communication skills required
Demonstrated ability to work alone and in a small group.
Experience with SQL Database required.
Experience with Microsoft Dot Net development a plus.
Experience with Compiler implementation required.
Experience on a multidisciplinary project a plus.
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. beyond practical training, without visa sponsorship.
