Position Summary:
A support engineering position to develop, operate and maintain a developer network / environment of an Enterprise Content Management platform.
Essential Functions:
- Supports external developers on issues pertaining to the DocuShare programming interfaces.
- Consult developer network subscribers, system integrators and partners on matters of customization and integration.
- Act as a liaison between external developers and engineering team.
- Work with documentation team to develop developer documentation / technical articles.
- Assist QA, file bug reports and feature enhancement request.
- Assist 3rd level support with escalation.
- Develop and teach the Developer Training course.
- Manage and create content (code examples) on the developer network site.
- Participate in the developer network forum.
- Conduct webinars.
- Provide guidance for the DocuShare Developer Network program.
Requirements:
Applicant Qualifications:
- BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent and at least 5 years of developer support or software development experience and customer facing roles.
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills
- General knowledge of web technologies especially in the areas of HTTP programming, HTML, XML, CSS, Freemarker, AJAX, JavaScript, Java, J2EE, .NET, VB, C#, Servlets and JSP, ASP, Tomcat, Apache, IIS, Eclipse, Visual Studio, Apache Velocity template system
- Team player and must be self motivated
- Basic knowledge of Windows/Unix administration
- Advanced knowledge and experience as HTML/CSS developer a big plus.
