Position Summary:

As part of the Global Communications team, you will be working with teams across the organization to achieve superior results on projects related to employee communications, corporate communications, and other public relations matters. Located in Norwalk, CT, you will have an opportunity to leverage your strong writing skills in drafting press releases, while also using your organizational skills to plan special events. Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate communications activities that range from developing press releases and developing media outreach plans to assisting with special events and the production of corporate publications.
  • Produce multi-media forms of communication to tell Xerox's stories via video, podcasts, blogs, Web, and more. Identify areas for Xerox to turn up the volume through social networking, like Facebook and Wikis.
  • Collaborate with members of Xerox's communications and marketing organizations to coordinate logistics, production, presentations and multi-media platforms for PR-related and internal communication events.
  • Write, edit press releases, case studies and additional content to support Xerox's PR activities. Track editorial calendars to identify opportunities for Xerox to play in key media outlets.
  • Through team-based PR activities, play an integral role as a member of the Global Communications organization in helping shape stakeholders' perception of Xerox.


    Requirements:

    The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of communications / PR experience in an agency or corporate setting. The successful candidate will have a demonstrable track record in organizing and managing projects to deliver superior results on-time.

    This position requires a person who is:
    a creative thinker; customer focused; able to build relationships; self-motivated, as well as, flexible and adaptive.
    Requirements:
  • Ability to interact and build creditability at all organizational levels, especially senior levels.
  • Superb communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
  • Successful track record of special event planning and obsessed with detail, delighting customers and exceeding expectations.
  • Experience producing multi-media collateral including video, Webcasts, podcasts, etc. Expertise in using social networking tools.
  • Team player who is willing to roll up sleeves and tackle diverse set of activities. Master at multitasking and juggling with ease several projects under tight deadlines.
  • Appetite to grow and develop into a senior member of Xerox's Global Communications team.
  • A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
