XLS is built on a unique combination of the most scalable, high performance discovery management technology and largest group of experienced discovery consultants and professionals in the industry.


Position Summary:

As the Business Development Executive, you will be expected to grow multi-account revenue, gross profit and client satisfaction. In addition, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a strategic vision and strategy to deliver a multi-faceted services offering designed to address all aspects of the legal discovery process.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of business experience, with broad-based exposure to legal departments and litigation discovery processes. Moreover, to bring XLS's full value to the client, you must be able to establish creditability with the client's decision makers. The successful candidate will have strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to establish meaningful relationships across the legal community.

Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Vice President & General Manager for XLS, the Business Development Executive will be responsible for the following:
  • Develop and execute strategic plan to optimize revenue and profit growth within Corporate and Law firm accounts
  • Establishes and grows multiple General and Associate Counsel, along with Senior Litigating Partner contacts and develops strong relationships
  • Identifies opportunities for new account penetration using XLS offerings to satisfy client objectives to ensure regulatory compliance, reduce costs, and increase process efficiency
  • Supports the negotiation and coordination of contracting and delivery of client agreements


    Requirements:

  • Successful track record in identifying and capturing new business opportunities within a business development capacity
  • Ability to be conversant with attorneys regarding litigation discovery processes & related technologies
  • Ability to influence, negotiate and gain commitment at all organizational levels, especially senior levels
  • Familiarity with best practices regarding Federal rules of civil procedures
  • Ability to establish new relationships with new clients within an emerging market
  • High professional ethics, good judgment, the ability to take decisive action.
  • Superb communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong financial and business acumen, along with a proven P&L track record
  • Demonstrated ability to build strategic “C-level” client relationships
  • A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, a Juris Doctor degree is preferred.
